Is a mechanical fuel pump(factory) for a 375/396 big enough for a slightly warmed over 454?

The stock pump should be fine, however there are a variety of high output mechanical pumps available through Summit or Jegs. Or you can check with your local performance shop.

GM performance parts sells a great mechanical high-performance pump that I use on my car. I cant find the catalogue right now, but they have 2 versions, like a street one and a race one. Aftermarket edelbrock and holley as well as barry grant should work fine also, but that little "Keep your GM car all GM" sticker pops into my head!
