Just finished up the rotisserie. She rolls over almost effortlessly now. Hopefully get the soda blaster out next week. Ahhh...progress...

All you need now is 300 lbs of charcoal and a big apple. ;)

Looks nice and easy.
I had to crawl around on my belly doing mine.
I must admit, the body work gets worse the nearer to the floor you get. :(

Cam Doesnt that (baking soda?)"soda" blaster do something to the metal making it so the paint wont stick?

I had many of the sheetmetal pieces on my car soda blasted, and other than the fact that the blaster dropped my decklid and ruined it, the finish turned out great. The car has been painted for 5 years and no problems with adhesion.

Hey Cam,
Do you have the plans for that roti? It looks nice. We need to buy or build one.

The rotisserie was a product of my mind.... which is a pretty scary thought. The main structure is made of 3 inch square stock. The horizontal and vertical sliders are made of 3 1/2 inch square stock with 1/4 inch wall so the sliders fit tightly over the horizontal and vertical members. There is also some 3 1/2 inch used for the receivers at either end for the spanner. IF you want some more precise measurements I can draw up a plan.

Don't do that yet. The guy that is helping me work my body over and I are thinking on going together on one. I just don't know whether to build or buy. Obviously it's cheaper to build but the time and effort might be better spent on the body not the tool. By splitting the cost of buying by 2, we bring it into the realm of competition with building one. So until we decide on the make-or-buy thing, I don't want to put anyone thru any hassels.

Anyone ever build one of wood? Is is possible?
