Hello, just installed AFX Tall spindles on my 67. Can anyone tell me what size lug nuts go on these? Thanks

I believe they are 12mm x 1.5 ... just look for ones for the C5 / C6 Vette...

hopefully that was the answer you needed but side question on this, if you install these will vette rims fit fine on the front. I know you need an adapter for normal chevelle spindle but do you still need them for the afx ones?

I believe the backspacing is wrong for C5 / C6 wheels.... I am running 18x 8.5 with 4.75 back spacing... 245 40 18

The AFX spindle keeps the stock track-width as a stock spindle.

SC&C is talking about making a "wide-track" A-arm kit to use 'vette wheels without needing adapters. There are big geometry benefits also when using longer A-arms.

thanks, 12mm x 1.5 was correct. This is the part I'm really concerned about. I have the Global West Upper and lower tubular a arms. The AFX spindles, this is for the taller b body setup. I have the 13" Baer brakes with the C5 calipers. I also bought a wheelright from Percy's to measure the backspacing. I also have the Baer trackers to eliminate bumpsteer. I had already had these before I got the spindles from AFX. With the wheelright I had it set for a 17" x 8" wheel and at 5" backspacing. When you spend the rotor it comes really close to the bottom of the tracker. I tried setting it at 5 1/2 and 6" backspacing and there is no way this would work because it would hit the bottom of the trackers. Does anybody have this setup? My car is a 67 chevelle convertible and I've already ordered the wheels and tires but I'm trying to come up with the best fit. On the rear I have a Moser 12 bolt, standard width. I would appreciate any advice, as always, thanks, Clyde

Put regular tie-rod ends on it. The billet steering shaft for this spindle is designed specifically for eliminating bumpsteer on an A-body. Any adjustment you can do with that will make bumpsteer worse.

I used the billet steering shaft made for the AFX spindle as Derek points out. I have 13 inch Baer rotors. Used standard tie rod ends. My wheels in the front are 18x7 with 5 inch backspace. Some wheels will fit with clearence between the inside of the "spokes" and the outboard side of the caliper. My Intro wheels fit with room, but the Junkyard Dawgs I tried needed a spacer to move the wheel out. Seems others have run into this issue that requires carefull wheel selection. I've heard that most wheels fit. I think SC&C is making notes of those that fit/don't fit. Check with them for sure things.

I appreciate the info. Like I said, I had already bought the baer trackers prior to buying the AFX spindles. I installed them because I already had them. I will get the outer tie rods in the morning and change them out. I was planning on going with a 17 x 8 with 4 1/2 or 5" backspacing. Any advice on what would be best. I was also looking at putting 255 45 17, 225 40 17 or 255 40 17 on the front. Any advice what would fit best? On the rear I'm looking at putting 17 x 10 with 5 1/2 or 6" backspacing. Do you think a 275 40 17 would be a good fit? Thanks for all your help, Clyde
