I'm sure someone out there can help me. I have been looking through the chevelles in the local junkyard for build sheets. I have found something in every American built chevelle except for this wagon. it is a 69 chevelle wagon built at Baltimore. It is pretty intact. I have found complete build sheets in the 70 wagon and the 71 wagon and 4dr that are there (all Baltimore). Where should I look in this one. I have looked through all the seats, under the dash, behind the door panels, in the spare tire compartment and parts of the carpet. In 70 wagon, the sheet was wrapped around the drivers side brace of the front seat back. In the 71 wagon and 4dr, both were in the back seat bottom.
I have found a punch card in this 69 wagon. Will there even be a build sheet or is the punch card it.
Lots of interesting chevelles at this place. Probably 25+ in there.

If you run across any 69 chevelle bodies in wrecking yards, I'd love to get the trim tag data and the VINs if possible. I'll add them to my list for the tag research. Take care Andy

Finding a build sheet in anything is hit-and-miss. Multiple sheets could have been left in the car at any number of worker stations or none could found. Remember they were suppose to be removed and trashed when the car was done but occasionally some were left 'stuffed' and 'crammed' into various parts (seats/door panels) and under carpets and on top of gas tanks. Several people have found build sheets for Monte Carlos in Chevelles and/or any other GM car that might have been going through the line at a multi-line facility. One gentleman found sheets from 3 consecutive cars at KC, a 4-dr sedan, an El Camino, and a Chevelle Standard 2-dr - all in pristine condition. Go figure.

In a chevelle 4dr from Kansas, I found the build sheet from that car and the el camino SS396 built after it. They were stuffed in the back seat together and are in good shape.
