Not Chevelle related, but you all seem to know your stuff, so I thought I'd give this a whirl here. I recently purchased a fiberglass cap for my truck used, and the exterior of it is very faded, and I'd like to paint it to match the truck. Also, I plan on purchasing a moonvisor for my truck. What would be the best way to paint these two items? Thanks in advance,

If the gel coat is in good solid shape only faded, you could just sand with 320 and paint. But if you were to sand with 320 then an epoxy or urethane sealer with a similar color to the top coat you are using that would be a sure thing.

I am not a big sealer user, and would probably not use one, but without seeing the thing, I would say it wouldn't hurt.
