Would using aluminum oxide media on the front header and radiator support have an adverse effect on the panels?

It will be okay on the radiator support, although I would NOT use it on the header panel, to great of a risk in warping it, unless you turn the pressure WAY down..

Your not going to warp it with alum oxide. If it has some rust/filler more than likely thats what your going to have to do.

Thanks.
Is there any safety or health conserns when blasting with alum. oxide?

I just looked at the msds sheet for alum. oxide and it says that the only safety conserns are minor nazal irritation. No resporator is required and only local ventalation is advised.

Still wear a good resporator and a hood, dust masks only stop 90%

I have a hood but no resporator.
I'll be blasting outside in the driveway as soon as this rain ends.

I would worry more about what you're blasting off and making airborne, in this case. Paint, filler, maybe even lead you don't know, but I don't have a clue about alum oxidide.
