Hey guys, I need to rebuild a few of the body mount holes in the '66. (Michigan rust). While setting up the lines for measuring, I came up with a 1/2" inch difference in length between the passenger and drivers side rails. Measured from the starting point just behind the front wheel to the body mount near the top of the rear spring. I have double checked the reference point and all. What the H-E-double hockey sticks is up with this? Anybody have an idea? http://www.chevelles.com/forum/confused.gif I am using the frame diagram in the chassis manual. How can a frame become shorter on one side?? There is no visible sign of being crunched or stretched.

They'er is a 1 inch dia locating hole next to the front body mounts. put a pipe in and measur diagonally to the rear perch body mount. do this on the other side as well.
GM call's for 1/4 in tolerance.
do the front rad support from that location.
then use the 1 inch locating holes at the
rear spring area to diagonally measure the rear part of the frame. This will give you a compleat picture of what your dealing with.
Hopefully a GOOD FRAME
