On your cowl tag you will see a two digit number, followed by the letters BPNT. This is your paint code. Go to the main page of TC, and in the Tech area you can click on Paint Codes and find the origional color there. I'm assuming from your signature this is for a 72. Hope this helps

Dennis is right on.
Look at the Cowl Tag.
It should say something like:
PNT ** **
In my case, My car shows PNT 26 26.
That means that my car was painted Viking Blue Met. all around.
If you have PNT 26 11, or PNT 26 B
That means that your car came with a two-tune paint job (26 11) or a single paint with a vinyl top (26 B)
Let us know what your code says.
You can checkout the numbers Here (http://www.chevelles.com/years/72/72paint.html)
If you don't know where you Cowl Tag is, it's on the top of the driver's side firewall. Right under the windshield (You have to open the hood to see it)
Hope i helped you out.

Its a square piece of metal. Usually it's black.. But it might be silver.

Thats because its Covert. In order to be covert it would have to be out of sight, un-detected, so this color has lived up to its name. http://www.chevelles.com/forum/wink.gif
