I am getting my car back on Monday.
I have a few spots of rust that i would like to get rid of.
I can't sand blast them.
All i have is sand paper.. (I might beable to get an electric sander disc)
I am thinkiing of going to a store and buy some body fillers, like Bondo or something..
I am looking for tips and advises from you guys. How to get the job done right?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Edit:
BTW, I got a pine of POR-15.
Can i use it in any way for that?

Hey shai I asked about the por 15 a little while ago and everyone said no go. As for doinf it right you can get a patch panel and have someone weld it up for you. The bodo will work but i don't know for how long…

Where do i get patch panals from??
I can weld myself.. I have a welder.
The only places i think i need patches are the rust holes on my deck lid (Look at the picture in my signature)
It's still there...
I need to get rid of it.
The only other placed i have are little surfaces rust. I want to use sand paper to get it off, and then put primer on it or something...
I was thinking for the rust hole in the deck-lid to use the sand paper on then, stuff a nice ammount of bondo there, and prime.
Where would i get a patch for my deck-lid from?

ouch a patch for the trubk lid is probably going to have to be made. Or just buy a new one (or someone to get it for you). How big is the whole i couldn't see the pictures. If they're small you can weld them closed i think? I'm sure someone else would know better than i would…

It's not a hole..
It's a lot of small holes in a line.
It starts at the left corner of the bottom of the deck-lid, and end right below the truck lock.
If i do need something.. It's the metal where the trunk lock goes.. Because it's cut open (Somebody tried to brake into my trunk)
Anybody has a patch for the trunk lock? (I might weld the other rust holes.. But the trunk lock defenetrly needs a patch..
It would be great if someone can cut that for me.
Anybody??
TIA.

Rust is like cancer in a person the only way to remove it is cut it out. If you just knock down the rust scales on your lid and not fully remove the rust it will just come back even worse. Most of the time rust works from the inside to the outside. And when you sand down the rust on the outside the vibration from the sander just loossens the rust scales on the inside of the panel. Now there is fresh new metal for rust to attack and it starts over again but this time even worse.
The rust holes are very thin and when you put a welder to them you will must make them bigger.
You even need to weld in a patch around the lock?..in my opinion you would be just wasting your money and time fixing that deck lid. I understand that you live overseas but nothing is worse then getting your car done and later down the road you have to redo it.
As for bondo dont get anything but Rage, all metal or duraglass. Iam sure their are a few others that people use and like but those are the big three that I have used and know others have used and like. A quality body filler makes a hell of difference. Por 15 cant be used as body filler, I would only use it in places that wouldnt be seen like the floorboards.
