I have read everything that I can find on this subject, here and on other sites, and am going to go ahead and run this but I have a question for anybody that has run it. I have to get my headers recoated and have decided now would be the time to install the pieces in the header as opposed to later. Has anybody ever run a evacuation system with only one tube in a header then split to go to each valve cover? If this setup can be used then I would only need to buy one puke can instead of two. Any advise would be aprreciated.

If you're running mufflers, don't waste your time.
If not, best to plumb each side seperately into that side's header. You're relying on exhaust gasses to create a vacuum to rid crankcase pressures.
