I ran a 350 for over 100,000 miles with 5 psi at idle. About 25 at 2000.

that's about the same as i'm running ,but i've had people tell me that's not high enough or they don't lke seeing it that low,and these are experienced mechanics and racers but other's have said it all depends on how tight or loose the motor is put togetherand as long as your pressure goes up when you speed up it's good to go.It just makes me wonder why ii's that low.

My 327 has about 15 psi at idle and about 45 at 3000. Hope this helps. This site is awesome! Oh, by the way, there is a big car show here in southern Mississippi the 7-10th of October. If anyone is gonna go, please email me. I am looking at going alone otherwise.

I have always heard that small blocks only need 5 psito keep all internals lubricated. I get nervous when they get down in the 15psi range.
You gotta wonder why you got low oil pressure though?
