I have a 388 stroker (Only 2000 miles on new motor and have not driven in above 70 degrees yet) with a 2 core A/C radiator. Its been in since 1990. The 388 is 10.2 to 1 cr with 200cc Dart Iron Eagle Heads, long tube headers, RPM performer intake, 750cfm carb, 4.10 posi rear with 2200 stall converter, high flow water pump, extreme energy 268 cam, 275/60-15 BF Goodrich T/A (28 inch tall). My question, being the radiator is old and due to be replaced, should I go for the 4 core? Can I have too much radiator? I do have a tranny cooler in front of it and have a 180 degree thermostat. The temp gauge does creep up when at high, sustained rpm. Any opinions????

Can never have "too much" cooling. The thermostat will control that.

Go with a 2 core aluminum. The dual 1 inch cores flow the same as a four core of old with a weight advantage and and more surface to air.Adjust your temp with your stat selection.
