Hello everybody, I haven't been on in a while. I just finished having my 71 ragtop trimmed out with all the sheet metal off the body. The fenders, doors, hood, decklid, etc. are also trimmed out. I've repainted the radiator support and I'm ready to start hanging all the sheet metal back on the car to get it ready for final painting. I'm looking for the best order of how it will all go back together with the least amount of problems (if thats possible). If any of you guys have done this, I'd appreciate any tips/suggestions/ you can give me.
Thanks guys! (and girls)

What I did on my 70 was mount the rad support as center as possible.
Measure the width of the hood at top by window area and then down at the front.
Hang the fenders using these measurements.
Don't button the fenders down too tight yet as they will need adj later. Get your fenders aligned the best you can to the doors. Spacing and fender height.
Hang the hood hinges and install the hood.
Don't install the hood catch yet.
Litely tighten the hood to the hinge and procede to close slowly.
now check the fender alignment at the doors.
Then check hood and fender height and alignment.
Keep a variety of shims on hand to get it all even.
Don't hurry and it will work out.
Install the inner fenders at the end.

Thanks! That's exactly what I was looking for, some kind of order to the puzzle. Is there a reason you put the inner fenders on last instead of before the fenders? Just curious. Thanks for all the info!

I found it easier to adjust the whole doghouse around this way. A little lighter when pulling and pushing.
Then I just jacked the car up and removed the wheel and inserted the inner fender.
You need to jack it up pretty high to do it this way.
