Nice jab Bill. You have something against the Queen's English  ;)

We could always talk about words like:

Z/28 - ZED/28 as opposed to ZEE/28.

Decal - DECK-al instead of DEE-cal.

I would be happy to give you an English lesson next time we meet :beers:

Beautiful car and COLOUR combination indeed, but what kind of coin shall this recreation bring ? I would love to have it myself, but my guess is it's too rich for my blood.

Thanks for the offer Don, but being married to a teacher, I get my share of english lessons. If I write her a note, I have to run it thru spell check before she gets it.

Auction is now over. Even though the top tilts and the quality is very high, this is "HUGE" money for a recreation in my opinion

I'm curious to know what the reserve is. That car is way to incorrect, even for a clone, to warrant that kind of money. Hey Don, one word sums it up for you......EH!! :D :D :D :beers:

I would like to know the reserve also Tom. We obviously don't know if those bids are real money, but to turn down $110K is getting into the ridiculous category.

Wasn't there a case last year where somebody bought what was advertised as an LS6 convertible for the low $100K's and it turned out to be a clone? If I recall there was a lot of kifuffel over that one. Not sure if it was on this board or another one.

The funny thing about that car is, it is stated right in the description that it's a blatant fake. IIRC "No Expense was spared to restamp and date code". There is also those other 2 claims that take gigantic balls to make (probably only one ever built) well obviously since it's a homemade car, and the other one "Diamond Restored" which anyone that knows anything about 70's can see is a crock of crap  I also like the comment "from my personal collection" Another crock, the seller is a dealer trying to capitalize on the naive.
