Hello, Im in the process of a frame off 67
chevelle build.....now for the question...
I'm ready to paint the engine and I'm not sure which paint to use......I want to shoot it the same color as the body, but, can i use ppg enamel? or some other "regular" paint? or do I need a special paint?....I dont want to rattle can it with high heat paint. thank you

POR-15 if you can get the color match you are looking for. They have several colors to choose from. Just follow their application advice to a tee. ie use their degreaser, than metal ready, then primer, then multiple coats of the top coat. I am sure you will be pleased with the outcome.

I painted my engine using the same paint as the body (I can't recall the brand). I think it was a DP##, anyway, non-BC/CC single stage...
I worked great, even the area directly above the exhaust port (Big Block) never burned off...
Of course, I also used a primer, and I sealed the engine before we did any assembly (to ensure no oil penetrated into the pores (after the hot-tanking)...
