Got a Bend Pak 10XC before Christmas and the same day I twisted an ankle (unrelated). First rig to utilize the vertical ride was the Burb. What a great way to do oil changes and other chassis work  Next on the list is the orange beast, which will be moved over to finally get the few underside things needed to get fired up. Finally got the bug to get back into working on stuff :hurray:

Put one in my new 24 x 36 garage about 3 months ago, Bend Pak, 10XC as well, twin post and only took me a day to install it all by myself, wasn't easy but can be done, I'm living proof.

Picks up my Chevrolet 1 ton Dually like its nothing.! I went with a 12" ceilings so I had 1" to spare once the lift columns were in place.

I did a second floor for storage and also did a bathroom on the ground floor, HVAC and just installed my new Snap-On 7hp, 80 gallon 2-stage air compressor. Finishing up the drywall and ready to apply the U-Coat-It floor paint. The lift is something I should have done years ago, working on the ground sure takes its toll on you after a while......

Couldn't agree more. I put up a Rotary brand 4 post lift (with the help of 3 friends) last May. What a time and back saver!

Okay here is a quick pic I just took. I didn't have time to stick a car on it :D

My goal is make sure I don't put a car in the bay that renders it unusable for long periods. Considering a winch mount in the floor for those days the rig is too heavy to push by myself. I wonder if I should sell my pile of jack stands and floor jacks :D

How much do they cost?
Are 12 foot cielings the minimum?
What is your concrete thickness?

i dreamed about a lift for years, but i only had a 10 foot ceiling. then one day i got a bright idea! why not vault the ceiling? a couple of friends and i did it in one day! installed a new two post and i've never been happier. if you have just storage upstairs, it's easy.

I would need to somehow do away with a section of the I-beam that's about eight feet above the floor, goes all the way accross the 60 foot span and supports the 2nd floor.
I sure wouldn't mind loosing the storage above one bay on the end but have no idea as to how it could be done.
My three overhead doors are only 8 X 8. (another mistake :o )

That's the cool thing. My friends who would need it have their own. A couple of coworkers are interested though. They already know the ground rules too. beer when they show up (for after the work) and what goes in comes out same day or it does not go in. Most important though is, I live out in the sticks (30 miles from my coworkers) and visitors are few and far between  Might actually have to get one of those "I have fallen and can't get up" buttons in a few years :D
Neighbors? what's that :D

Thats the next purchase for my 40 X 40 garage. I specifically built the garage with a 14 ft high ceiling for the lift. I can't wait to get one. As one said earlier, I'm tired of laying on the floor.
