hey guys, just got back from a trip to Ausley's chevelle with my new bumpers and fender's.What do i do with the fender and the black coating that's on it?do i sand it down to bare metal and etch when i do the rest of the car or what do i do with it? thanks gary graemlins/beers.gif

from what I've heard you just scuff it up and no need to take it to the metal. The black is suppose to be the metal protection.
It's usually referred to as EDP, Electro-Deposit Primer.

All I did to my goodmark C.I. hood was scuff it till it was dull with a red scotch-brite and then epoxy primer it.

just like dg says, scuff it and then prime it.
