: Petrified crud under window trim lsimons Jan 29th, 02, 12:43 PM I'm restoring my '73 SS 454 4spd and finally got around to reinstalling my rear glass. First, I wanted to clean it up. I discovered a very stubborn "ring" of crud, that looks like 25 years of dust/dirt stuck to the window underneith the reveal trim. It will not come off! I've tried razor blades (marginally effective), laquer thinner, mineral spirits, WD40. - no luck. This stuff would scoff at a sandblaster! Help! It is like friggin Kryptonite! I have found that BRAND NEW single edge razors will take it off. Don't shave it like you would your face, do it with a slicing motion.
