I was rummaging through some boxes in the basement the other day and found a VHS recording of my El Camino I made back in 1986. I was in the military stationed in Greece at the time and was home on leave for 30 days. The recording is in suprisingly good condition for being 20 years old. Plus, the camera technology was pretty primative back then. But it's clear enough to see some important details on the car. Near the end I fire it up. I don't remember it sounding that good! :)

Use this link if you have a high speed connection. This is the best quality:

For those of you who are bandwidth challenged, try this one. It's lower quality but downloads faster:

70's are my favorite. Are you running a Brookshire cam? Sounds familiar :D

No, the cam in that engine was a Crane Commander. Not sure where Harold was working back then.

Forgive for not knowing this(I was only 1)

It looks like you raised the shock mounts, was this to accamodate the high ride height?

Kool Video, I will have to make a video when I get my chevelle done to look at down the road.

Nice vid and you know it's old, he had pinstripping on the car. ;)

There is a shop back home that is famous for that, BOB TAYLOR and he's done thousands of cars I bet.

Looks good. Is that the same car in your signature?

You have a good mother.

Although it would come in handy when some A-hole comes up right behind you at night with the high beams on.

You have a good mother. I do! She hated the car too. :)

Ahhhhhhhh, '86.. That was a great year :D

As good as your car looked in that video, it sure has come a LONG way  It's funny, it's now almost the exact opposite from what it started out......
