DUKE 69

Quick update: my buddy Rob's 69 Deluxe SS is almost ready to escape the paint shop- man does it look good! However, as he (we) proceed on his project, another question comes up regarding the body side stripe (RPO D-96, I think). Was this optional or standard on the Deluxe SS's? Most I have seen in pics have it, but he wants to have a good idea about it before moving ahead. So, Don, Keith, or anyone else...
Thanks again for your help. Duke
The RPO D96 side stripe was optional at extra cost on all '69 SS's, whether Malibu or 300 Deluxe based.

Our 396 car didn't have the stripe originally but we added it when we had the car painted. Cortez Silver really needs the D96 stripe.
