Will aircraft remover or other chemical paint removers eat through the body fillers?

Jasco Premium softens it up pretty well. That's how I removed all my old body work.

Ive used Jasco on parts and stuff in the past, I love that stuff. I am going to chemical strip all the old paint, most areas down to metal. I don't want it to eat through the filler, there is a minimal amount in areas I just applied, I guess I can just not apply it in those areas but as for sections that can come to a suprise! So I need something that doesnt eat it away, just paints.... ?

hmmmm.. if filler absorbs water. it might absorb paint stripper as well and cause future problems such as bleeding thrugh the paint. i mean i think it would just eat thugh the body filler or weaken it. if you uncover any areas with bondo that you didnt expect or got stripper on id strip it to bare metal. i painted a bicycle frame before and didnt wash all the stripper off and it bled thrugh the paint and it flaked off. i think i used aircraft remover and im preety sure it said to keep it away from seams and any seam sealer to prevent future problems im guessing the same goes for body fillers..

If you use chemical stripper, it will damage any filler that is under the paint. The only reason to use a chemical stripper is to get to the bare metal. If that's not your intention, don't use it.
