well this is a little late as it was last thursday at work that I got to drive a 65 malibu SS. Nice well done car, small block with aluminum heads performance cam and a doug nash 5 speed. Had it up on the lift so I could look at every detail. Looks like the nash 5 speed was a direct fit since I didn't see any floor pan modifications. It also still had the shifter with the little pull up thing to go into reverse. The rods that went from the shifter to tranny were different then the muncie type rods (looked longer and more heavy duty). Inside: console equiped, radio delete plate, power brakes but manual steering, and no ac. Car ran real smooth, I only drove it from parking lot into shop and then back into parking lot, no real road test. Nice car though. I don't own a chevelle but admire them non the less, I'm a buick and olds guy but do enjoy this forum and find it helpful.

Hello Allen. Somebody did some nice work to make that 65 stay stock looking.
It's always good to see something like that.

Good drive man! There was a 2006 GT at our local Ford dealer that I would have loved to drive, but it was one of those look and don't touch vehicles. The blower where the backseat would normally be was totally awesome. Oh well. Some guy from Houston came and bought it for around $130,000.
