I have a Carter quadrajet carb. It number 7029202 which is off a 69 Camaro 350 300HP auto engine. I need to find the date code. I found a number on the back. It is C19. Is this the date code for March 19th?

The date code should be stamped vertically on driver side of main carb body very close to or just off the end of the 7029202 casting id.

For example a typical date code would look like 0639 with would mean the carb was built the 63rd day of 69. They never stamped date codes on q-jets like the C19 you are asking about back in the 60's,seems like someone is trying to pass off a faked carb date to an unsuspecting/unknowing buyer.

If there is no date code by the casting id like i gave in the example then sometimes its missing from the carb from the factory,it can & did happen at times esp back i the 60's. But if C19 is stamper by the casting id that not correct IMHO.

Scott.....the only numbers I see by the casting number is 69 then a symbol then DH.
