I thought, I would stop in and introduce myself. My name is Joel Hill and a new member of Team Chevelle. I recently purchased a 64 chevelle 2Dr Post. I bought the car from a farmer in indiana. The car had been sitting in an old barn since 1988. I paid $400 dollars with the original title for the car. I trailered the car back to Cols.OH on a Saturday. Finally my childhood dream of rebuilding an old Hotrod had began. This being my 31st birthday present to myself. My game plan is a total frame off restoration of the car.
So I began taking the car apart the next day. A total of ten days and the body was removed from the frame. I went out to Habor Frieght and purchased a Sand blaster, now the fun begins!! I worked on the frame for over a week to take it down to bare metal and primered it. Theres a few areas that need to be fixed in the next week before the top coat can be applied. This forum will be a great tool during my first attempt to fully restore a car. I'm looking forward to sharing information about the chevelle.
Thanks for your time. Please feel free to send messages. Joel
