With all the talk lately of MSD type boxes and their failures Ive decided (90%) Id like to run a dist, good coil and a simple rev limiter. Someone was mentioning a dist that had a module or plug for a rev limiter???

Someone straighten me out on this, havent kept up much on whats out there.

I always ran a Mallory unilite and a promaster coil for years and never had a slight miss, but I suspect this time around a rev limiter would be a good idea.

Running a SBC if that matters?!

The Mallory 75 Series HEI distributors have a built-in adjustable rev limiter.

I've seen MSD HEI modules for in the distributor with a dial on it for a rev limiter. It might only be the new ones though cause mine thats a couple years old doen't have one. pn 83645

Crane makes an electronic trigger for points type dist (somewhat similar to Pertronix) that has a built-in adjustable rev limiter.
