I was wandering if anybody knows where I can find some high density foam that I can use to make a seal from my air cleaner to the cowl hood. it would need to be round. I know it is out there some place. I just do not know where. I am going to make a plate to mount under my air cleaner for it. please help.

Try your local uphostery and fabric supply houses. They usually have a good selection of different thickness, firmness, and density foams. You'll probably have to get a rectangle and cut it down, but you never know, they may have something in the right shape.

How would that work with a cowl hood? That looks like it's designed for a snorkel/pro-stock type scoop. Maybe all cowl hoods aren't created equal? Mine has an open cowl area.

You don't get the aluminum piece, only the foam. It's a piece of 1" foam about 60" long and 4" wide.

This Moroso air pan kit sealing foam is designed to keep fire contained in the carburetor scoop area. The foam is made of a specially manufactured high-density material for fire-retardant protection. Sealing foam comes in a 4 in. wide roll that is 60 in. long.

I used this foam to seal my air cleaner to my hood.
