: BOISE STATE and OKLAHOMA GAME
chevelledude71 Jan 2nd, 07, 12:52 AM Did anyone see this game? This is the second best bowl game I have ever seen. Great game.
Were the bowl games last year as good as the bowl games have been this year?
onovakind67 Jan 2nd, 07, 1:01 AM How about the proposal to the head cheerleader after the game? Looks like those Boise boys got big balls all around....
Greybeard Jan 2nd, 07, 1:03 AM It's going to be hard to go to sleep tonight.
chevelledude71 Jan 2nd, 07, 1:03 AM I had turned it for a second to check SC and when I turned it back, the commentator was saying "she said yes." I wonder if he would have proposed if they had lost?
BB_Mike Jan 2nd, 07, 1:36 AM Honestly, I turned it off in the 4th. I decided that even if OK came back, I didn't really care. Peterson didn't do all to well, and that's all I need to know for next season. :)
and how old is the Boise State quarter back? Guy looked to be 25+.
chevelledude71 Jan 2nd, 07, 1:39 AM I'm not sure how old he is, but he looks like Brett Favre...beard starting to grow in. ;)
usmcanglico Jan 2nd, 07, 1:44 AM Good Game. Nice to see the little guy kick some butt, especially OU
00WS6TA Jan 2nd, 07, 1:44 AM It is so exciting to see Boise State go from a small Div II School (Big Sky - when I attended) to a national BSC game. As an alumnus, I'm so excited...win or lose. Tonight is BSU’s and they deserve it! IMHO
GO BRONCOS!!!!!
Edit: That was the best college game I have ever watched. Gave me a heart attack a couple times, but, man what a finish.
GO BRONCOS!!!!!

He was in High School in 2001, redshirted the 2002 season at BSU, so he could be 24 easily.
70ElkySS Jan 2nd, 07, 2:21 AM As a Sooner fan, I'm a bit heartbroken, BUT, those BS guys fought hard and deserved the win. What a game!!!!!!!!
rubadub Jan 2nd, 07, 2:46 AM I wasn't sure I was going to watch the whole game when I turned it on, sure glad I did, best game I ever saw.

chevguy65 Jan 2nd, 07, 7:56 AM Boise State started as a Jr College, then moved into University status in the 1970's.
As a Jr College we won a national championship, then as Division 1-AA we won a National championship again.
BSU has only been Division 1 since 1996, and in ten short years we have been Big west Conference Champs., and the last 5 years straight have been WAC champs, and won almost every bowl game we have been to.
Last night was the culmination of all the hard work, the coaching changes. And too all of the nay-sayers I say.....Bite Me, all of those that said we were not good enough, not big enough, that our strength of schedule put us up there falsely can all go take a flying ****(leap)!!!!!!
After last night, it should be BSU against Ohio State for the National Championship!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BSU ROCKS!!!!!!!!!! and is not afraid of Anyone!!!

kevin d Jan 2nd, 07, 8:20 AM That was the most exciting game I've ever seen! What a finish! I think the OT format should be adopted in the NFL.
Don_Lightfoot Jan 2nd, 07, 9:22 AM After last night, it should be BSU against Ohio State for the National Championship!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Gee Carl, I guess you are assuming OSU will beat Florida. That similar thinking could very well be what got OU in trouble  ;)
I really don't watch a lot of U.S. College Football, but that game was certainly one for the ages :hurray: :hurray:
DUKEdevils36 Jan 2nd, 07, 10:21 AM One of the best games I have ever watched. The end of the game had me glued to the TV screen
71350SS Jan 2nd, 07, 12:23 PM I almost missed that game,I switched it on late in the 3rd quarter and I'm glad I left it on.( I have a habit of changing channels with the remote and loosing track of what I was originally watching ) One of the greatest bowl games ever played, almost as great as the Texas bowl. :D
daaujla Jan 2nd, 07, 1:27 PM ...Peterson didn't do all to well, and that's all I need to know for next season. :)...
Explain.....
chevelledude71 Jan 2nd, 07, 1:47 PM I think he means that Peterson will be leaving for the Pros. Probably suiting up for the Raiders if the draft order stays the same.
daaujla Jan 2nd, 07, 2:31 PM Alright now we're just talking about two different Peterson's. I thought you were talking about Coach Peterson....now I realize that you're talking about Adrian Peterson. Well in that case yes, this was his last season and yes he didn't have that great of a game thanks to Boise State's defensive line, but they were getting ripped apart through the air thanks to Boise State HAVING to play zone.
OrrieG Jan 2nd, 07, 2:51 PM Word in Boise is that if you can talk you didn't watch the game. I think I strained a vocal cord. Absolutely one of the best games ever.
Thanks to GB70 and his family for the hospitality, great ribs and tv to watch the game. We had his poor pup hiding in the bedroom most of the night from the noise!
This is going to really help recruiting and the Broncos should come back stronger next year. It's been great watching the program develop over the last 25 years. Last night after the game the crowds closed the streets downtown, it was amazing!

Man I miss my old Boise State Days - Great times indeed. I don't think I missed one home game back when they were playing Montana, Idaho State, etc...in the Big Sky.
Now a Fiesta Bowl Championship - That was an awesome game - Made me proud to be a Boise State Bronco :)
sudolg Jan 2nd, 07, 7:47 PM I'm not sure how old he is, but he looks like Brett Favre...beard starting to grow in. ;)
Good thing he didn't play like him and throw a ton of interceptions.... Rutgers all the way next year baby....
What a truely amazing football game! The game was well coached, called, exucuted, and gutsy. With 16 seconds left in the 4th quarter on on a 4th down and 17, BSU was down 35-28 and they go with a play "hook-and-lateral" to score a touchdown leaving only 7 seconds left. OMG, can you believe it? Then in overtime again on a 4th down they remove Zambraski as the quarterback to put in wide receiver player Vinny Perretta to throw a touchdown pass. Then they go for the win on the old statue of liberty play for 2! :hurray: :hurray: What an amazing finish.
I am still recovering from too much :beers: I think I picked up Patrick in the air after we won? LOL, needless to say my voice is horse. This has to be the best game I have ever seen. We had a party at our home for freinds and family and watched it on our 72" LCD set.
I remember an earlier post started before the regular season and we predicted our teams. No eating crow now, just enjoying a perfect season! If Ohio State loses to Florida, Boise State could be in the top 5 rankings. The way they have played this season, and after last night, there should be no doubt we can play on any field against any team. I wish we had a shot at playing Ohio State for the National Championship. Perhaps if there was a playoff system....

I am not saying that at all.
What I am saying is that BSU and Ohio State are the ONLY Two unbeaten teams in the country. That is why I say it should be us against them and no other reason.
steve1967 Jan 2nd, 07, 11:08 PM well I am from and for Oklahoma but that had to be one of the best games I have seen at least in recent years can.t remember any better
daaujla Jan 2nd, 07, 11:43 PM The Cal Stanford game was number 1 all time and I would put this game number 2 all time.....but best game i've seen (i'm too young to have seen cal stanford)
1972Custom Jan 3rd, 07, 12:22 AM man i love the under dog. i hope under dogs get more recognition, and i hope play offs are coming. great game, and wanted boise to win. love the blue field, and sad my boys in blue(michigan) looked so pathetic.
jamie
RedElky Jan 3rd, 07, 8:46 AM I was there to watch it all in person. During the 17 hour drive home last night, I was replaying the game in my head over and over.
Being a die-hard OU fan to the core of my being, it was not the outcome I was expecting, but Boise State deserves to win. That was the gutsy-est call I have ever seen....going for 2 pts when they didn't even have to in OT. Wow...an amazing game in many ways.
My voice was completly gone after the game...jez...what we crazy fans will do for fun.
