I was bidding on a plastic wire gutter that goes on the firewall that NP
D has for around 7 bucks. I bid up to 7.50 and it went for 31.00 bucks. It was a reproduction just like NPD has. I don't get it.

Don't be so sure...I sell on ebay and do not have anyone bid it up...sometimes I get shocked at what some people will pay for parts!!!

I've purchased "NOS" parts on Ebay that were repop parts in the old packaging. I'd call that fraud and told the sellers so. Got my refunds.

I had a couple sets of the pentagon shaped PMD center caps for Pontiacs. Didn't do my research like I should have, and thought about a buy it now for $50. Glad I didn't, they went for over $400/set both times! I was very new to ebay at that time, and had someone else chevk my description and make sure I wasn't gonna cheat someone thinking thy were getting something other than listed.

You never know when lightning will strike.

we had a NOS valance we didnt know what it was for had a mopar sticker on it offered it to someone for 30 bucks and they called us nuts. put it on ebay someone told us it was for a dart/ duster sold for close to 400 sure glad the guy didnt take it for 30. we also had a NOS belvedere emblem you know who really wants it we thought. sold for like 60 something bucks sometimes you get suprised how high stuff goes but other times you cant get a bid we have a NOS 70 chevelle quarter it barely got bidded up to 300 we still have it. People dont make sense.

It just baffles me as to why people will pay that kind of money for something like that. Its not like that perticular item in that auction is any better as a NOS peice then getting repros. I cant see the justification of spending or waisting all that extra money.
