Hello, I just purchased this car it is a 1972 malibu 4dr posts, green and green interior,307 2 barrel w/ac, turbo 350?,10 bolt axle. Can you give me a break down of these #'s or refer me to a website that can?:D Any info for 4dr parts dealers or advice is helpful.

05 = Look again this is actually OS = Oshawa Ontario Canada assy plant

12A = build date of December, 1st week
B90 = Molding - Side Window Reveal

Here's what my book says (about the same thing as Steves though)

1 = Chevrolet division
D = series used on Malibu, Custom El Camino, Concours
69 = body style = 4-door. notch back, pillar 4-window sedan
F = 307 V8
2 = year = 1972
1 = Ohshawa Canada assembly plant

Last six digits = basic production numbers, Starting number 100001/up
