Can PPG DP90LF be mixed with DP50LF to change the color a bit? My car is in all DP90LF (black), and i just got the ingenious idea to do flames! This is my first flame job, and i only want to keep my car in the primer, i like the look. Would mixing the black with a little gray primer look good for the flame part? Any other suggestions will be considered. This is on a 68 chevelle. I want the flames to extend about 1/2 way into the quarter panels. Thanks

No one has any thoughts/suggestions/comments on my ideas?

I would guess that you can mix the primers to get different shades since they both use the small hardener.

Yes you can mix any of the dplf expoy primers together. Just make sure you DONT mix the harderners together. The dplf expoy come in about 6 or 7 colors so you might want o check them out if you are doing a flame job. Just make sure you maintain the correct mix ratio of 2:1
