Is anyone else having major problems with their updated IE? The other day I updated from 6 to 7 & I have had nothing but F***ing problems with it, it seems that I can't surf for more than 45 seconds without it locking up and the program stops responding. Anyone else having these problems? If so, is there a fix out there yet?

I've had IE7 for about three or four weeks now. Took a little getting used to the different layout, But no problems with lockup. Try redown loading.

The company I work for would not allow the IT department to install IE7 due to problems with it.

The only thing I like about it is the tabs feature, I haven't had any problems with locking up though. It does take a little getting use to.

No problems here! I like the layout and features.:) If you are having issues you may need some more RAM. My computer came with XP(the first year it was out) and only 128MEG of RAM:mad: Many problems followed until I put more in.

Yea, I really like Firefox too, however it will not work with some programs unless they really improved it over the last 6 months.

Well, I did as youi guys suggested & downloaded firefox 2 to give it a whirl. Now, when I double click on the icon on my desktop to go to the internet, it brings up a blank page called untitled and says done at the bottom. I tried typing in an address in the address bar, and it gives me the same result. Is this possibly a conflict between IE7 & firefox, or is there something i have failed to setup yet?

Go to the control panel, Add/Remove Programs and remove Microsoft IE7. This will revert you back to IE 6. Problem Solved. I use Mozilla FireFox and don't have any problems. You are getting a blank page when you open FireFox because you don't have a homepage set.

I only use Firefox and I have for years.... My wife uses IE and I updated my computer to 7 and have had nothing but problems with it crashing also.... She's not on my computer enough for it to really worry me though.... I like to have a copy of each browser on my computer so I can check web pages I write in all of them before making them live....

Finally got the problem solved, I just completely un-installed IE7 and the firefox explorer started working fine, so I guess that these 2 programs can't run simultaneously on one machine with 1 internet connection, or my machine is picky, who knows. But anyway, thanks guys for all your help, and my problem is solved, so on with the surfin now!
