72skylark

Well I've got a 72 buick skylark (a-body). It's a 4 dr http://www.chevelles.com/forum/frown.gif, but I think it would be cool to have a 4 dr with suicide doors. (where the back doors hinge in the back.)
Anyone every done this, or can point me in the right direction?
Thanks
Nick

Well I've had my 4 door for a while now and after opening those doors who knows how many times I can tell you this:
Not gonna happen with out massive fabrication. Think of how the fore-hing point is, now picture the dog legs... you'd have to build (or buy) a hing that not only swung open but also out, in line, to clear the rear jamb. it would have to be a massivly huge unit to hold the door, they are not light.
If you want some Chevy parts for it, mine is for sale.

Hey man..
Live with it.
You have a 4dr and that's it.
I have a 72 Chevelle 4dr...
But mine is a custom built...
Never mind that its custom... I am the only one in the country (Israel) with a 72 chevelle. (We only have 3 Chevelles in the whole country)
So.. My car is worth here (Israel) as much as a 2dr SS is worth there (in the US) http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif
Don't you just hate me know... hey? http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif
I saw a 73 Camero for sale 2 months ago... (2dr... looks nice..), i called him just to ask the price.. (mybe i can use the engine)..
He already sold it.
For 95,000 NIS!!! (That is 23,500$)
It looked good.. but in the us it would have been sold for about 10K...
Mybe even less... it wasn't as good as you think... some rust.. crappy interior.. but the outside was in nice shape.
So... my 4dr will sell here for about 24K..
http://www.chevelles.com/forum/biggrin.gif I love my chevelle.. but its not for sale!
