Today we ran a new wire straight from the battery (fused properly) to the amp. It eliminated 90% on the noise. Then we installed a in line noise filter, That took care of it! Those darn Fords have really "Noisey" alternators!!!

what gauge wire and fuse size did you use?..... I would guess you must remember to turn off the radio when you shut the car off.

I used 10 gauge stranded wire with 10 amp fuse. The amp has a remote wire from the radio to turn it on when the radio is turned on. The radio is wired into the original power wire for the radio, so it goes off when the car is shut off.
