Hi all..
I actually joined the site a little over a year ago, planning to get re-started on my ride. well, life kinda got in my way..(how do you say daughter's wedding...man that money would have finished the car!..oh well..)
Heres a brief history.. Its an original LS5,automatic... red with black stripes convertible. Some options are.... cowl induction ,buckets/console, factory Am-8track (might replace with an original Am-Fm?), tach-gauges,posi,etc.
I bought the Chevelle in the early 80s with a little over 50,000 miles on it. I drove it a little bit back then, but with two babies..time nor money were overly plentiful. The car was put in storage, where it remained for about 10 years. In the mid 90s I started a restoration on the car as time and money allowed...(remember the daughter mentioned above?..4 years of out of state college put a big damper on plans.. Man was she expensive..;) )
Well, I got the car back from the body shop ,with a brand new paint job, about two years ago. AND Finally...it looks like I will be able to start re-assembly in a month or so.....hope I can find all the parts!
I look forward to "talking Chevelle" again ,and will probably have some questions for some of the "pro's" here!
