what will make my 1968 chevelle malibu converitble worth the most...to put a 383 stroker...a 400 , a 427 or a 454, with relatively same set ups... all with automatics?

My guess a 396 would look better for the car.
Or a 454 with 396 badges

Being that the 427 BBC is the hardest to come up with, likely that one is the choice. very few people would be able to tell the difference when looking externally at any of the BBC's or the same when looking at the small blocks. So I say whatever suits your needs.

Why not worry about what engine will be the best for the type of driving you plan on doing, rather than the what will boost the value of your car.

BIG BLOCK

It's an easy choice.

Agree, either big block will make it worth more than any small block.
