Replacing both front fenders on my 1968 chevelle, looking at the fenders from OPG just wondering if there any better deals on fenders and shipping out there? Dont want to buy them twice. Any suggestions and previous experiences greatly appreciated!

Instead of buying from OPG that is 2000 miles away why not look for a company that sells goodmark parts in Ill?
Hard to believe that Chicago wouldnt have a place.
I can think of two

I need a right front fender for my '68. Not sure were it's coming from yet, but one thing is for sure ... these parts houses are all pretty darn proud of there sheetmetal! Has anyone had luck with repo fenders? If so, from where? Thanks.

i just bought both fenders on my 69.they are repo's. i drove to north carolina and picked them up.shipping was so expensive.any way one came from ausleys and the other from np depot. and they are the same brand. also by doing this i was able to look at them before paying for them. actually was glad i did, one place had to pull another one for me. gary

fre2rome,

1968 Chevelle fenders are still stamped by GM. Or still GM licensed. I got the pair from:

Chicago Muscle Cars
Crystal Lake, IL
1-847-526-2200

I paid $400 per side, I considered it a deal. This guy is nice and has a lot of used parts as well. Where are you in IL?

DO NOT buy them from OPG, they will charge you to ship them from LA, CA and it will be at least a couple hundred bucks per fender. My father found out the hard way with floor pans.

Why not just go down to down to your local dealer and order an original fender, no fitment issues.

and look around somemore all goodmark dealers dont charge the same. some will gouge your wallet.check with a large chevy dealership they buy lots of goodmark hoods and install for the new pickups. they added my parts in with large shipment and saved bigtime on shipping. goodluck

Steve,
There is a pair of "Genunie GM" 68 fenders on eBay right now. Located in New Berlin, Illinois.

Currently $500.
If I hadn't already recondition mine, I'd be bidding.

Don't know about 68's but you can still get 69's from a Chevy dealer.

68's are still available...at least they were 2 months ago at the local dealer.
