I am from Werrington County, Sydney, Australia. We are an all GM family dating back a few generations. My current ride is a 1971 Monaro with a BBC and a turbo 400 box. My 2 brothers and I are toying around with the idea of coming to the US for the power tour, but can't get much info down here. Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to the site. Iam sure some of the other TC members will help you out on the power tour info. We juat had another thread on this site talking about the Aussi cars that we woul like GM to produce for the US customers here.

Welcome!!! What is a Monaro? Any Pic's? If you want the ultimate power tour set the date for next August and come to the Motor City(Detroit) for a little thing called the Woodward Dream Cruise It's a 16-mile long car show that is educational, historic and fun for all ages. There is no charge to attend the Woodward Dream Cruise. The Woodward Dream Cruise is the world's largest one-day celebration of car culture that attracts over 1.7 million visitors, and more than 40,000 muscle cars, street rods, custom, collector and special interest vehicles. Next year its Aug 18th but it actually starts the week before in the evening hours If you want more info you can go to www.woodwarddreamcruise.com (http://www.woodwarddreamcruise.com)
Have a happy new year

I heard that those Holden Moneros were considered a cool car. Over Christmas I stayed at my parent's house and read a 1969 National Geographic that featured Austrailia. In it was a picture of a brand new Holden Monero body on a forklift destined for the assembly line. It appeared to have a bunch of what appeared to be Vauxall Viva bodies next to it.
Man, if you brought your car out to the Powertour you'd for sure win a long distance award!
