: Hello from NC
rodneylenton Dec 27th, 06, 3:19 PM Hello everyone
Been to the site a few times. Since my return from Iraq in late fall.
I used to own a 70 Chevelle, LOL now have a 70 Nova with a blown ( in pieces, LOL) engine.
Looking to get some chassis and cage work done soon.
Noticed a lot of BIG BBC here on the site 540+, will post questions in performance area and Thank-You for any help both now and in the future.

rodneylenton Dec 27th, 06, 3:44 PM Well TY for the welcome
As a matter of fact I had posted in a different forum the question of price vs cost of the Smith Race Craft Nova front subframe, the overall advise was nice piece, just kinda pricey.
I had looked around this site and like I said earlier seems to be a lot of BIG BBC here.
Was looking at trying to build/ buy a new motor since my last BBC decided to break a crank coming out of the burn out box, LOL a few years a go car has been on jack stands since.
Trying to get to the 9.90 range pump gas, car would see about 1000 miles a year. Considering a motor in the 540-565 range, but could go bigger. All steel except the hood.
Wife says it has be a able to take us to the Sonic every now and than, LOL
I will start to post questions and such in the performance area, motor would be a couple years off but hey, can never hurt to plan ahead, wife says build it once and be done LOL yea Right

Hi Rod, small world ain't it? Also happen to be another "nam" resident. :(
Any pics of your 70 you used to own?
Where are you planning on getting your chassis and cage work done? Tim Brodams? (sp?) Please let me know how well it turns out.
I usually hang down at the Hope Mills Rd Advance auto/Sonic cruise in....wondering if maybe I've seen your car there before....
rodneylenton Jan 1st, 07, 9:17 PM No sorry no pics of the old 70, bought it as long ago, LO about 20 years ago
Yea I know where where that sonic is (Hope Mills), get alot of my parts from that Advanced Auto next door.
Yes the estimate I got was from Tim Bradhams, spent about 1-2 hours there talking about what I wanted / needed done.
He seemed helpful and interested in what I was doing, even tough he does 25 cages, and my project is considerably smaller.
Looking at dropping the car off in Feb.
I know how shops hate customers to be on top of projects, but I will get photos from time to time and post,
Hey how do you post pics on this forum, LOL would good to know later.
My car has been garage bound for about 2 years, (the Nova) will post a pic when I figure out how, or get help, LOL

Junkyard Dawg Jan 2nd, 07, 6:05 AM First off the pics have to be hosted somewhere such as www.photobucket.com (http://www.photobucket.com).....
When you upload the photos there it gives you a link....
When you go to post if you look up at the top you'll see an icon that looks like some mountains with a small square in the upper right hand corner....click on this and insert the link there and hit "ok"...the pic should pop up in the reply box....then when you're done hit "submit" and it will post for you.
