Okay, this is a subjective thing, but I'm curious how popular/unpopular it is...

I have a (soon to be) marina blue Malibu with black interior. I'm thinking very hard about painting the rear valance black like they did with the SS. Whaddya think?

Don't get me wrong! I don't want to try to pass this car off as an SS. It'll sport the good ol' Malibu badges all around. I really kind of like the blacked out valance, though.

Sounds good. Your car do what you like. I like the 65's when they black out the grille on the malibus even though they are not SS's, I still like that look. You see a lot of Camaros also that black out the rear panel like a big block SS car so I say go for it.

Definately, without question, Black!

Absolutely, do it. It adds a nice tough to the car, and I also think it's cool because it looks like the factory did it.

I'm thinking of doing the same thing on my 66 Malibu, and for the same reason - it just looks cool. I'm also planning on using the Marina blue.
