Hi,my questions is,i need to know what is the stuff they use to put back the glass on the quarter window chrome cause i am replacing the chrome and also that hold the glass in the vent window channel?the original stuff feels soft still after so many years?what is this stuff where can i get it?

A glass shop has the right stuff to do it but you can use black silicone in a tube. Lay a bead in the channel and push the glass in. Let it set over night and trim up the excess with a razor blade.

George. For the verticals on the rear quarter window I used a rather soft rubber flap, ap. 1 mm. thick. A bit of mild soap will allow you to press it on.
With the vent window it did not work that way, so I used the non-hardening 3M8509 in the bottom of the channel and filled the sides with normal windshield caulking (Sikaflex TackDrive).
The way rogers suggest will not allow you to remove the glass later on because the silicone will act like a glue. If you use silicone be sure to get the type that is free of acid!

What partnumbers do you need ? I will try and look them up tonight.
