Can someone tell me if the doors from a 70 chevelle are the same for a 72?

Yes they are.70-72 doors will interchange.

they will interchange but i think the locking mechanisms operate differently. in 70 you dont have to hold the button down when you lock and close the door in 71-72 you do.

Hmm.My 70 you have to hold the button to lock it.

You have to hold in on a 70 but not a 71-72
