: Do they need to put them friggin wires on EVERY TOY????
Alwhite00 Dec 25th, 06, 12:17 PM Darn twisty wires on everything my kids got this year, What's the deal. I don't remember thm when I was a kid. Takes so long to get it out of the package that they are already into the next one. lol
Merry Christmas everyone.

circletrack Dec 25th, 06, 12:38 PM Ahh yes, the days are long gone when you open the package and pull the toy out. We spent considerable time this year with those twist ties and also the tiny screws on everything.
Must be some security issue ~ it's annoying!
Cameano Dec 25th, 06, 12:53 PM You need to take a trip to the tool box next time, use a pair of dykes on those wires. Make sure they're not greasy, though. On second thought, you ought to buy some new, clean ones, and unwrap them for yourself first. ;)
Andy69 Dec 25th, 06, 1:25 PM garrrgh yes! and those stupid little plastic doohickeys that they only used to use to hold tags on clothes.
pdq67 Dec 25th, 06, 1:59 PM I second the dykes!!
I figure it's b/c labor around the world is so cheap that they can afford to do it nowadays, but way back then when stuff was made here they couldn't..
That and the fact that there are people out there that will strip a toy or for that matter most anything else out of it's packaging, seal it back up AND walk right off with it, hoping to NOT get caught!!
They can't do it if it takes them five minutes to now unwire it!! Or if it has a security "deallie-bop" in it!!

bdss396 Dec 25th, 06, 2:17 PM LOL! I feel your pain.
BillsCamino Dec 25th, 06, 8:50 PM Now this is a most timely post !! Perfect!
I heard 5 adults bitchin' about those wire tied toys today!!! :D
Bad Rat 414 Dec 25th, 06, 9:55 PM My son got three hugh boxes of army men. Each man, truck, helicopter, canon, and fire base where attatched with those damn wires. I had to use a small pair of side cutters on them. I also had a few that were attached to the bottom of the cardboard display box with a piece of plastic and screws. So get this, I had to unscrew it from the cardboard box.
matt60j Dec 25th, 06, 10:00 PM Its not only the wire ties, almost all toys that came with batteries needed them replaced when they were opened. How convenient!
Phil Keller Dec 25th, 06, 11:05 PM The wires are a real pain, and anything that requires assembly comes with 97 pages of instructions, only 2 of which are in English.
quikss Dec 25th, 06, 11:44 PM It seems everything my daughters got this year not only had all those damn wires but the wires were covered in the stickiest friggin' tape I have ever come across. So now we have to fight our way thru this gummy crap and then wrestle the wires. I begged everyone, including santa, to not bring anymore dolls next year, every single doll has about 30 diffrent wires on them:pout:
Merry Christmas and to everyone that fought the good fight with those wires again this year:beers:

chevelless502 Dec 26th, 06, 12:01 AM Are they affraid the dolls are gonna run off or what?!?!? I was lucky this year only had 2 dolls to take out for the daughter. Last year i think EVERY toy she got had them...and lots of them.

Chris R Dec 26th, 06, 3:34 AM I actually take those little screws and twist ties and throw them back small containers and into the toolbox they go. Come in handy every once and a while.
