Many years ago I was a bass player in an band that did all R&B. Some people liked what we did. We copyed James Brown act down to the capes and the way he left the stage. Got invited to meet him and cut some stuff where he recorded in Cinn. Ohio. on Brewster Ave. The guy that aranged all the horn parts for James was a short black guy named RED, He did the horn arangements on a "Sweet Potato" and thats what the horn section played. That same week in Cinn. O. James introduced us to a Guitar player named Lonnie Mack. Lonnie from Ind. played on a lot of James records. That week in Cinn. Ohio. I will never-never forget.----- PLEASE PLEASE Dont go. But he did! Rest in peace" #1 Soul Brother " -------- Bob Inhoff

Another Great gone. As a song once said "if there's a rockand roll heaven, ya know they've got a hell of a band", Amen.

Kind of ironic, we got The Blues Brothers DVD today as a gift.

That's too bad, I saw a billboard two nights ago that said he'd be at one of the Casinos next month. I thought to myself "I'm going, I want to see him live before he's gone." Oh well, too late.

I always did like that song. He had a couple of good tunes actually I liked. Even though that kind of music wasnt really my thing.

Not the best representation, but in Rocky IV, it was used. I liked it.
