I have some leaks in my rear window on a '65 SS. When I was ckecking it out, it appears that there are no drain holes anywhere for the standing water to get out of the channel. Are there supposed to be drain holes like there are in the front windshield? or does the water just sit in the channel until it evaporates or blows out? I want to do it right the first time....any advice would be welcomed.

There are no drain holes on my 71. Or I should say, none put there on purpose. There should be none.
Mine started to rust away in one corner of the bakc window because of what I thought was a similar problem: water collecting there too long. If you think about it, if your paint is sealed, there should be no problem.
Mine started to rust after a body man forgot to replace a pin in the gutter need to hold a plastic part that holds the chrome in place. Dust filled the pin hole, got painted over, eventually disintegrated and a hole opened. Water got into the trunk and the rust was history. (Play on words.)
What are the specifics of your problem? Take it to a body guy and have the hole fixed. A good paint sealing and it should be ok.

They should have put drains in the back windows. If your going to pull the window to fix the rust why don't you add your own drains in the corners?
I wish I had. Little tubing nipple welded in the corner with a rubber hose heading out the lower quarter panel drain plug.
