It's not the best of time to ask this question being xmas time but a few months ago a team member posted he had cancer with not much time left and was wondering if anybody heard anything about him? I thought his name was Jim(in his 50's). It was really sad to hear that news and it stuck with me and I wanted to let him know I'm thinking of him on this Holiday week-end

Bill,

Thats interesting, I was thinking the same thing the other day. Say a prayer and hope for the best. And be thankfull for every day.

Merry Xmas,

Looks like he passed away in May. The first Christmas without a close relative or friend can be rough. Best wishes to his family and friends during this Christmas season and the same best wishes to all TCers past and present.....

Re: Losing a friend and fellow Chevelle lover...

Bill Hornaday passed away this morning around midnight 05-30-05. Their grand-daughter was born on Wednesday and Virginia got him to the hospital and he got to hold her. They were not able to get him up again.
Bill will be missed, he was a great guy and my blessings and prayers go out to Virginia and the family.
Rest in Peace Bill. You deserve it.

Christmas is one of my very favorite times of the year, but this one is diffrent. This is our first christmas since my dad's passing last January. I have been so consumed with helping my mom thru it that it has been doing well for me.

Jeff -

Sorry about your father. Lost mine in May 05'. My dad was a huge car guy with over 37 hot rods to his credit. Every time I get in my 69' he's always there with me. He's there with you too. Take care........

Hi Everyone, I can imagine how some of you feel. My dad is fighting cancer and were not sure how long he has. He is home and still gets around but you can see it working on him. So many times he has wanted to give up but doesn't. He is 77 years old and is my best friend. He taught me everything I know about cars but I wish I had stayed home more when I was younger. I could have learned so much more. He was really happy when I found my 69. I can tell he's proud that I became a car guy too. God bless you all and Merry Christmas.

Sorry to hear about your dad, that sucks.

I'm sure you have many times already, but if not, make sure to tell him you love him. I didn't get to tell my dad, he died in his sleep of a massive heart attack, and everyday I wish I could tell him yet. We worked together so I got to be with him everyday for a few years, and those are now some of my favorite memories in life.

If their is anything you wished you had done with your dad, do it, because once its too late, it's a real bummer. I always said I was going to take my dad to a Nextel Cup race, never got to, but at least I was able to get him to a Craftsman Truck race and also some Busch series races (with pit passes) so he got to see some of the racing he loved so much.

Merry Christmas guys.

Thanks Jeff,

Your advice will be well taken. I'm sure your dad loved you and was very proud to have you for a son. Merry Christmas.

My Christmas was a downer this year too. My wife lost her grandma. She was very close to her, and it really hurt. I also almost lost my mom between Halloween and Thanksgiving. She had a brain tumor, and was diagnosed with cancer. She came home the week before Thanksgiving, and has just started her treatments now that the huge hole in her head has healed enough. She's doing well now, but hard to watch.
