'69 SS396. I know the colors required, just wondered what is the most durable? I have had them soda blasted, acid dipped to neutralize the soda, then applied etching primer. They look brand new, just want them to last. Should I go epoxy, BC/CC, powder coat the gray base, then spray the dark centers? Anyone done any of the above?

Dad has been powder coating all his recently. Mine were painted 14 years ago, and they're looking fine still. I'm getting some steel wheels though for dog dishes and I'll probably end up powder coating them too, although I'm tempted to just paint them myself too.

I blasted mine , rattle can primed them and used Eastwoods paint (again rattle can). 3 years later they look the same as the first day . I keep the car inside naturally but use soap and water to clean them alomg with the tire bleach. Nick
