I will be getting my 66 from the paint shop this week and I will be putting it together myself. I have one question. The book calls for a sealer to go under the hood scoops where they bolt to the hood. Also when I disassembled the quarter panel light extensions they had a gray looking caulk looking sealer. What could I use that I could get local like at HomeDepot?

I doubt (but am not positive) that you'll find what you are looking for at a Home Depot. What you want is seam sealer. It is very similar to caulking, but it is paintable. I don't remember the brand name, but you'll find it at your auto paint supply store and they run about $10-18 per tube.
Alternative to your local auto paint store, check out Eastwood (http://www.eastwoodco.com/). Plug in the quick search "seam sealer" and you'll get a list of a half dozen products for automotive sealing needs.

What you are looking for is rope caulk. You can get it at Home Depot.
