When my engine was done this past summer, the Chevelle was put on a chassis dyno and I was very pleased with the results. I got 4 pulls and with timing and jet changes got 22 more HP until power levelled off. I see comments that dynos can vary, and was wondering if any one has ideas on how much one can be different than another. Maybe it is just like camshaft comparison where measurements are taken at different lifts and you have to adjust their specs to make a proper comparison. I found the tuning changes interesting to get power and maybe that is all you should be interested in, setting a bench mark and then seeing what tuning does. I did not get the car to the strip as traction is an issue but is it fun to drive.

Most say you cant compare dyno's. I have only been once myself. If you go back to the same one and they use the proper correction factors then you can compare those numbers though.

There's about a 10% difference between a Mustang and a Dynojet with the Dynojet reading higher. The reason is the Dynojet is an inertial Dyno and the Mustang is a loading Dyno.
