ok, I have a 1969 Chevelle. I have rebuilt the suspension with Hotchkis parts:
springs, bushings, sway bars, etc... I would like to tune the setup for street/strip driving. Aside from the hotchkis parts I got southside rear bars, and air bags in the rear springs.

First thing I would like to ask is, why the chevelle sits up in the front?
I don't think i got BB springs. Motor is a 307 at the moment, but a 383 will be in later, is this how the stock chevelles sat?
Can I have the front springs cut to lower the front a few inches? Will this hurt the suspension? I'm looking for a lower look.

Next, I put air bags in the rear springs to help with the right rear sitting down on take off. (advice from a friend) also I have them aired up to level the car. I did get all 4 boxed rear arms, the same friend told me that I should get the lower arms as close to level with the ground for better traction, Is this right?

Any advice on setting up the suspension?

Brakes are next in the rebuild!

thanks
Scott

Sure, but we'll need some more info...

What are your goals? Good handling, or good launch?

What are your current springs? Lowering springs? Have a link to any other info? Spring rates would be helpful if you have the info on them. :)

What sway-bars are you running?

What did you do with the front suspension? Stock spindle?

How does the car behave now?

well springs and sway bars are from Hotchkis like i had said before.
front sway 1 1/4", rear 3/4"

Well I would want both handling and good launch LOL, this will be street/strip, but as I'm sure the new Hotchkis parts will make the chevelle better then stock, so I would like a nice launch!
I also have stock spindles.

the chevelle is in middle of rebuild so I'm not sure on how much better it is handling now.

Was hoping for some advice as to how to set up suspension better then stockish set up.
