My rocker panel mouldings are mostly OK but have some spots where the chrome is flaked off. I was told that re-pro units have different fastener locations? (Is this true & how do you remove these clips?) Can I have these pieces re-chromed?

My 66 rocker panels are anodised aluminum. I doubt yours are chromed ? I had my aluminum vinyl top moldings chromed, but it doesn't hold very well. I would not adivse you to do the same.

The original mounting of my rocker panel moldings was based on some 24 inch strips, 2 per side. The repro moldings came with small clips that mount at the same screw locations.
